Unnecessary popup after editing ACLs

Reported by: NilsLindenberg Owned by: unassigned
Priority: lowest Milestone: 1.2.1
Component: administration Version: 1.1.6.2
Severity: trivial Keywords: ACL javascript

Description

copied from WikkaBugs --NilsLindenberg

If you edit the ACL on a page, click "Store ACLs", then edit the ACL and click "Cancel", it still reads "Access control lists updated.", even though the changes were canceled. This is due to the "Cancel" button causing the browser to navigate backwards, and a javascript popup. --BarkerJr

I have migrated this bug from WikkaBugs but was unable to reproduce it with Firefox or IE.

Actually, is the popup really necessary? The alternative (if confirmation is really desired) might be to display a page with the correct status, and then offer to redirect to the previous page after so much time has elapsed. (Disclaimer: I'm highly biased against the use of popups for confirmation purposes!)
